Santa Cruz County

Where else but in Santa Cruz County can Coastal Trail hikers walk through fields of lettuce, brussels sprouts and artichokes in the morning and step off the beach to ride a roller coaster or hear a free rock-and-roll concert on the boardwalk in the evening? The intensely replica rolex farmed coastal terraces with their attendant pocket beaches in the north of the County give way to the City of Santa Cruz with its historic pier, boardwalk copie montre and University of California campus. Further south, after passing through Capitola and Aptos as the shoreline goes deeper into the bight of Monterey Bay, the trail follows the broad sands of Seacliff, Manressa, and Sunset State Beaches to the Pajaro River.
