The Orange County coast offers something for everyone. Terrain varies from broad, sandy beaches and wetlands in the north, to the picturesque pocket beaches and coves in mid-county, and high cliffs and palisades in the south. Approximately 80% of the 40-mile coast is accessible by trail or beach walking. Along the way are swimming and surfing beaches, diving areas, fishing spots, boating marinas, entertainment zones, shopping opportunities, artist communities, luxury resorts, educational facilities, State and County Parks, historic sites, and nature preserves. Not far from the coast are major family-entertainment attractions. [George Pace
